We are pleased to invite you to Law Day at the Faculty of Law on Saturday 1 October!

The day will include interesting and thought-provoking popular science lectures held by our teaching staff and researchers, inspiring guided tours including a visit to our library, moot courts with judges and students, guidance from our study advisors, etc. We will highlight the central role of law and lawyers in society, and discuss Swedish, European and global challenges. This year’s lectures will reflect the diverse and topical nature of the faculty’s research, and will feature discussions of tax legislation in a global world, elder law and the ageing population, the Freedom of the Press Act, hazardous construction work and consumer rights, human rights for persons with disabilities, and the links between law and literature.

We hope that this year’s lectures will give you insight into and understanding of how important law is for all of us in our daily lives. Four presentations will be in English.
