Applying for studies

In general, all students wishing to study Bachelor's or Master's level programmes and courses at a Swedish university must apply online, using the national University Admissions in Sweden website called "universityadmissions.se".

Key steps to apply

1. Find your degree programme or course and follow the "apply now" link that takes you directly to University Admissions in Sweden (this link is available when the application round is open)

2. Create an account on the national University Admissions in Sweden website and follow the steps to make your online application

3. Send all supporting documents to University Admissions in Sweden at the address: FE 1, SE-833 83 Stroemsund, Sweden. Documents must arrive before the deadline:

  • Cover sheet (printed from your online application)
  • All certified official certificates, diplomas and transcripts that are required to prove you meet the admission requirements
  • Proof of English language skills (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS test)
  • A certified copy of the page in your passport with your personal data and photograph, or some other official identification document
  • Any additional documents required by the programme or course as part of their selection requirements (e.g. statement of purpose, CV, reference letters)
  • Remember to check if there are any country specific rules for your academic documents and review all other official instructions from University Admissions in Sweden.

4. Pay the University Admissions in Sweden application fee before the deadline to ensure your application will be considered (for non-EU/EEA students).

Exchange students and Erasmus Mundus/ Erasmus Mundus Action 2

If you plan to come to Lund University as an exchange student on a formal agreement between Lund University and your home university, the application process is different. Your first step is to talk to your international office at your home university.

If you plan to come to Lund University as a student on an Erasmus Mundus programme or within the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 programme you also have a different application process - please review the linked pages for more information on how to apply for these programmes.
