Documentation
Official transcripts, certificates
Official certificates and transcripts required for your application documents are sent to University Admissions in Sweden at the address: FE 1, SE–833 83 Stroemsund, Sweden. (Note that international couriers can deliver to this address - it is both a post and delivery address).
You do not send these documents directly to Lund University. At the national University Admissions in Sweden office, they check documents and scan them into the system so that the universities you have applied for can access your documents electronically.
Remember that copies of certificates or diplomas must be certified by
your university with an original signature or university stamp. Copies
can also be certified by a notary public.
-
Country-specific rules: Be aware that there are some country specific rules regarding how official transcripts and certificates can be sent and other country specific requirements regarding proof of your academic history. Please check these rules for both Bachelor's and Master's studies at the universityadmissions.se website.
- Translations: If your documents are issued in any language other than the Nordic
languages or English, French or German then you need an authorised
translation. Your university will be able to provide you with translated
transcripts or with a list of authorised translators.
Supporting documents, statement of purpose, reference letters
It is very important that you also check each programme’s webpage information to see if they request any additional supporting documents with your application. Many programmes require that you submit a statement of purpose (also known as a letter of intent or a personal statement) and in some cases they may even specify which topics you should cover when writing this statement. Some programmes may also request letters of recommendation and provide a template. A CV may also be requested. Please carefully review the programme's admission and selection criteria.
You also send these additional supporting documents to University Admissions in Sweden at the address: FE 1, SE–833 83 Stroemsund, Sweden.
A small number of Lund University programmes (mainly in architecture and design) request that a portfolio of work be submitted as part of the selection process. These portfolios are usually sent directly to the programme administrator at Lund University. Always check the programme’s admission and selection requirements to ensure you do not miss any required document instructions and specifications.
Checking if documents arrived
You can see if your documents have arrived at University Admissions in Sweden by logging into your online account at universityadmissions.se and checking your application status. Documents must arrive at the national centre by the deadline. If they do not arrive in time, your entire application will be considered late and may not be reviewed at all.
