Late applications
Late applications
We strongly encourage you to apply to courses and programmes before the application deadline, to pay your application fee before the deadline and to make sure all documents (including certified proof of your citizenship) reach University Admissions in Sweden before the document deadline, in order to ensure that your application will be processed and considered. Applications received after the deadline are regarded as late and there is no guarantee that your application will even be reviewed.
Extended application deadline
Sometimes a programme or course extends the application deadline. In these cases you will find the message "late applications are accepted" by the programme/course information. You apply with the usual application steps. In some cases you will get your notification directly from the programme coordinator.
Swedish student application round
If you are an EU/EEA citizen (or if you already have a residence permit in Sweden or the EU/EEA) and have you missed the international application round, it may be possible for you to apply for some programmes and courses in the Swedish application round (15 March-15 April for studies commencing in autumn; 15 September-15 October for studies commencing in spring).
However, please note that most programmes will not be open for application in the Swedish application round.
In the case that you are able to apply for your programme in the Swedish student application round, you apply at www.antagning.se where the application process will be in Swedish language. Be aware that the admission results are announced very close to the start of the academic semester.
