Lund is a small university city with a limited amount of accommodation and many students are looking for housing at the same time. Therefore, we recommend that you have your accommodation sorted out before your arrival.
To find somewhere to live in Lund, Malmö or Helsingborg you can apply via Lund University’s International Housing Office or use an accommodation agency.
We cannot guarantee housing to all students and ultimately it is your own responsibility to find housing. Some students have a housing guarantee. The housing guarantee means that we will provide a place for you to live within the International Housing Office’s housing options.
For students admitted to a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme should receive information on how to apply for housing from a coordinator at Lund University. The email should also state if you are eligible for a housing guarantee. Once you have registered you can access the services of the International Housing Office. We cannot guarantee a specific housing option of your choice. However we will do everything we can to meet your wishes.
Students who are not guaranteed housing may also apply for housing through the International Housing Office. You will receive information from your coordinator on how to apply. We will do our best to help you, but we cannot guarantee that you will get housing through the International Housing Office and it is your own responsibility to find housing. For other housing options, please check the accommodation agencies.
