Fuktrörelser i oorganiska våtrums- och vindskyddsskivor

Moisture movement in inorganic wetroom boards and windbreaking boards

Summary, in English

Moisture documentation for many modern building boards are currently inadequate, which creates difficulties in planning constructions. One of the problems is when the board is being exposed to large variations of the relative humidity of its surroundings. Moisture movements could lead to problems if the material swells and shrinks as the moisture content changes. Cracks in the surface material and warping of the boards are some examples of complications that can arise. Since the documentation from the manufactures in many cases is incomplete, it leads to unpredictable behaviour as a part of a building structure.

The result was reached mostly by experimental studies in the laboratory but also by a literature review. A certain connection to existent building standards involving developing and presentation of material data, was made.
