An improved version of the basic sphere decoder

Author

Summary, in English

In this paper we derive and evaluate by receiver tests a method for

pruning tree representations of MIMO signals. The efficiency of the method is compared to

that of standard tree pruning used for sphere decoders for several different MIMO system

setups. The outcome is that savings up to 50\% compared to the

standard sphere decoder are possible.
