Drumlinerna i Löberöd : spår efter flera isrörelseriktningar i mellersta Skåne

The drumlins in Löberöd : traces of several ice flow directions in central Skåne

Author

  • Christina Engberg Hydén

Summary, in English

This work aims to investigate streamlined landforms at Löberöd by utilizing the latest elevation model produced by the Swedish national mapping agency (Lantmäteriet). The goal is to establish the ice flow direction in the area during the last deglaciation. Using the height model, the ridges of the drumlins have been marked to determine their orientation in the landscape. The data clearly suggests three ice flow directions in the area. The relative age of the flow directions is evident from landforms that have either been reshaped or superimposed. The oldest direction is E–W, followed by ENE–WSW and finally NE–SW.
