Ways of giving to Lund University
Would you like to make a donation to Lund University? Your gift, large or small, makes a difference. There are a number of ways you can donate to ongoing research and education at Lund University. Your gift plays an active role in Lund University’s future and development.
We are also pleased to introduce you to the Lund University Global Scholarship Fund enabling highly motivated students to study in Lund, irrespective of their financial situation.
Give a monetary gift
A donation to a building, research centre or chair, for example, enables you to contribute to the long-term development of the University. Making a donation presents a rare and valuable opportunity to immortalise yourself or a loved one. You are welcome to contact us to discuss your donation.
Plan to leave a legacy
Your last wish can make a difference. Lund University receives considerable donations through legacies. These enable the University to take new initiatives and to start and complete projects that would otherwise not be possible. Contact us if you would like to discuss different options for a legacy donation.
Set up a foundation
You can also donate money to set up a foundation, which can be administered by Lund University and from which the interest can benefit education and research at the University. Setting up a foundation can be an excellent way to honour the memory of a loved one. You are welcome to contact us for practical advice.
Donate assets
There is also the possibility to donate items or other property to Lund University. This could be in the form of, for example, technical equipment or works of art. You are welcome to contact us to discuss your donation.

The Lund University Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in the United States and holds tax exempt status as a charitable organisation by the Internal Revenue Service under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the foundation is to strengthen Lund University’s ties with the United States and with Lund alumni by raising funds from donors in the United States and making grants available for specific projects. Contributions to Lund University Foundation are tax deductible for donors as provided by law.
