The course is a compulsory course at basic level forming part of a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Geography and Ecosystem Analysis. The course is also given as a free-standing course. The degree project is a piece of independent work that is carried out in the form of a project. The student chooses a subject in consultation with a supervisor. The degree project can also be carried out as a collaborative project with external departments, universities, organisations or companies. The work includes literature and may also include laboratory work and/or field surveys. Attendance at seminars and guest lectures may constitute compulsory elements. Included in the degree project are a written report in Swedish or English, and a presentation at a public seminar. The course can be given in English.
