The programme comprises a total of 120 higher education credits, including a Master´s thesis of 30 credits. The first semester begins with a course in Theory of Science and Psychological research methods, where students are stimulated to advance their academic thinking and deepen their understanding of how knowledge is acquired and represented within Psychology. The course provides the students with methodological skills required for independent research.

The second semester the students can choose between courses in Developmental- and Personality Psychology or Social Psychology. The courses increase the students understanding and knowledge of Psychology through deepening their comprehension of theories and current research.

The third semester the students can choose between courses in Cognition- and Neuro Psychology or Work- and Organisational Psychology. The courses increase the students understanding and knowledge of Psychology through deepening their comprehension of theories and current research . Semester two or three can be replaced with elective courses.

During the fourth and last semester students complete the programme by writing a thesis, which provides the students with the opportunity to demonstrate and enhance their understanding of theories and empirical research methods.
