Plasmas are found in many places on earth and in the universe as a whole. Knowledge of plasmas and their properties is important for the understanding and analysis of many objects like stars, nebulae, fusion reactors fluorescent tubes etc. In this course you will learn about elementary plasma properties boch theoretically and through practical exercises.
Plasma properties - particle movement, interaction with other particles, and with static electromagnetic fields and photons are treated in detail as is light emission from the plasma and plasma diagnostics.
