The course is a single subject course in Gender Studies. The language of instruction is English. The course is mainly intended for guest students who wish to acquire knowledge of Scandinavian film from a gender perspective but it is also open for regular students at Lund University. The aim of the course is to provide the student with basic knowledge on gender and contemporary film-production in Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) as well as to present the development of some theoretical debates within this field. The period covered stretches from 1950 until today, but the main focus will be on contemporary production.
