Lund students win the EBEC

Four students from the MSc in Industrial Economics at Lund University’s Faculty of Engineering have won this year’s final of the European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) in the case study category.
The competition is the largest in Europe, with 5 000 entrants from 26 countries. The final was held in the Croatian capital Zagreb from 1 to 8 August; to get there the Swedish team had already won a local competition at Lund University and a Nordic final in Stockholm.During the competition week, the team solved case studies on airport establishment in collaboration with the University of Zagreb, on logistics in collaboration with Deutsche Bahn and on emissions reductions from oil refineries in collaboration with INA Oil.
EBEC is organised by the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST).
