Professors’ inauguration ceremony

In mid-March Lund University celebrated the inauguration of 25 new professors. The inaugural lecture was held by Leif Stenberg, Professor of Islamology. On the same occasion, three lecturers were given teaching awards.
Leif Stenberg’s inaugural lecture was entitled: "Thoughts on Islamology - three theses in the study of a religion".
The University’s award for teaching excellence went to Professor Nils Danielsen at the Department of Experimental Medicine. The citation states, among other things, that the professor "has conducted long-term educational development work within the medicine programme".
The students’ award for teaching excellence went to Bernt Nilsson at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Andreas Bergh at the Department of Economics.
