Exhibition: Whither the Winds

Date: 20 May–17 September I Time: 12:00-16:00 I Place: Lunds konsthall
Whither the Winds is an exhibition that, in collaboration with Lunds konsthall, will show the his­tory of the Malmö Art Academy by presenting works by its former professors. This will include work by some of the most renowned artists who have worked at the academy since its inauguration in 1995, several of whom are part of contemporary art history.

Marvelous, Magnificent and Mindblowing:
The University Library Celebrating 350 years

Date: Until 1 Feb 2018 I Place: Main University Library, Lund
A 'best of' exhibition showcasing the oldest, most beautiful, marvelous, funniest and most unexpected things hidden in the basement vaults of the main University Library.

Exhibition: Peder Winstrup - Stories About a 17th Century Mummy

Date: 6 May–31 January 2018 I Place: Historical Museum, Lund
Peder Winstrup was Bishop of Lund and an initiator of Lund University. His body is one of the best preserved mummies in Europe. In this new and exciting exhibition, you will find several items associated with Winstrup, including newly discovered portraits, a significant silver jug, books and a strange cane.

Travelling exhibition on what Lund University students have looked like and what they have studied throughout history. They are fictional but largely represent the students who have attended Lund University.

Love@Lund – the love stories that started in Lund

Place: Café Athen (the silent reading room), AF-building, Sandgatan 2, Lund

Love blossoms in Lund – at a party on Klostergatan in 1969, in a song contest at the Faculty of Engineering and when meeting in front of the Tegnér statue in Lundagård – these are just a few examples of places where love has begun. Meet some of our lovely couples that began their stories together in Lund in the photo exhibition that will be displayed on campus during the jubilee year.

Spring Exhibitions at Skissernas Museum

Date: 28 January–13 August 2017 I Place: Skissernas Museum
The Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art reopened on 28 January with a diverse exhibition programme. Work by the American artist Swoon will be shown in the museum, as will artist Charlotte von Poehl’s work, produced on the basis of the museum’s collections, and we will get to follow Andreas Eriksson’s artistic process. The museum will also show sketches and models from the architect firm Elding Oscarson, who designed the new addition to the building.

Concert highlights

Odeum is where the University’s public student­ based musical activities take place, including about 15–20 concerts each semester. During the jubilee year, Odeum’s ensembles will offer everything from the tra­ditional highlights – such as the Academic Orchestra’s spring concert, the Lund University brass band’s au­tumn concert, and the Lund Academic Choir’s Christ­mas concert – to lunch recitals, interesting lectures and lovely performances by visiting ensembles.
