Zahra Moein, an iranian art student, is one of 19 international students named a Global Swede 2020 by the Swedish Institute.

Zahra Moein applied to Malmö Art Academy in 2018, and the academy was impressed by her knowledge of photography and cinema. She was admitted to the Master's Programme of Fine Arts and will graduate in August with an exhibition of her own.

The 19 awarded students from 16 different countries will be celebrated in an online ceremony held by the Swedish government and the Swedish Institute (May 28th). Zahra Moein will participate together with Anna Lyrevik, Dean, and Gertrud Sandqvist, Prefect, from the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts (Lund University).

"The Global Swede Award is our way to express our sincere appreciation to some of the most outstanding international students graduating from Swedish universities. We thank them for choosing Sweden, and at the same time welcome them into our global alumni network as friends and ambassadors", says Anna Hallberg, Swedish minister for Foreign trade and Nordic affairs.
