The Faculty of Science offers a science festival with lots of activities for both kids and adults. Enjoy our fast-paced shows, popular science talks, planetarium shows, experiments and exhibitions, science slam, telescope viewings and much more.

Botanical Garden

Did you know that your jeans and your breakfast come from plants? The useful plants section features plants that we use every day – but can you recognise them? Discover a selection of plants and learn more about how we use them. - Vegetable-themed crafts
Decorate courgette cars and race them down the large ramp. - Floral decoration workshop with Britta Levin
Drop in and take part free of charge. Create floral arrangements using repurposed containers, with the option to buy your creation and take it home.

A multimedia performance about life and living things, mixing science, humor, and surprises. Expect baby animals, unusual plants, and interactive experiments.

Welcome to Geocentrum in Lund for an afternoon and evening packed with short talks on everything from AI, brain cells and thunderstorms to mass extinctions, satellites, peatlands and sustainable agriculture. Drop in for a single talk or stay all evening and discover something new.
As well as the lectures, there is plenty more to discover in the Geocentrum area. Among other things, you can hunt for fossils in the sand and meet the student union GNOMES.

Astronomy House – Observatory
Location: Sölvegatan 27
Stargazing
Astronomers welcome visitors to the observation platform. In cloudy weather, the telescope will be on display instead, and visitors will have the opportunity to discuss the cosmos with the researchers.
