Guided tour: Three Centuries of Musical Life in Lund

"Musique of Comeliness and Decor!" In 1745, Lund University got its own Academic orchestra. In this guided tour we will get to know the history of this orchestra from the 18th and 19th centuries, and its instruments. Here we encounter everything from flutes and a half-eaten viola to military cavalry drums, and an oboe that Bach himself may have held in his hand. The instruments bear witness to a flourishing orchestral tradition in Lund and to music as both a craft and a fine art.

The tour is included in the admission fee. No booking is required.
