SUMMARY:Guided tour: Three Centuries of Musical Life in Lund
DESCRIPTION:Contact: info@luhm.lu.se\n\n"Musique of Comeliness and Decor!"
In 1745\, Lund University got its own Academic orchestra. In this guided t
our we will get to know the history of this orchestra from the 18th and 19
th centuries\, and its instruments. Here we encounter everything from flut
es and a half-eaten viola to military cavalry drums\, and an oboe that Bac
h himself may have held in his hand. The instruments bear witness to a flo
urishing orchestral tradition in Lund and to music as both a craft and a f
ine art.The tour is included in the admission fee.&nbsp\;No booking is req
uired.\n\nMore information about the event: https://www.lunduniversity.lu.
