Social Sustainability and Resilience
How can artistic practices contribute to more socially sustainable and resilient societies?
This two-day seminar brings together researchers and artists from different disciplines to explore how artistic methods and forms of knowledge can respond to contemporary societal challenges and social cohesion.
Across presentations and discussions, the seminar approaches art not simply as a means of representing or communicating societal issues, but as a way of producing knowledge, relationships, and new possibilities for collective action. A recurring question throughout the seminar concerns collaboration: what happens when different artistic practices, academic disciplines, forms of knowledge, and societal perspectives enter sustained dialogue? The seminar provides a space to share ongoing research, test ideas and methods, and discuss the potential – and challenges – of artistic knowledge as a contributor to social sustainability and resilience.
Presenters: Phil Dodds, Martin Wolgast, Marie Ledendal, Duška Radosavljević, Carolina Jonsson Malm, Kent Olofsson, Jörgen Dahlqvist, Fredrik Haller, Etta Säfve & Jona Elfdahl
