The lecture foregrounds Palestinian “earwitness” acco unts from social media testimonies\, journalistic reports\, and published narratives\, prioritising the sonic experiences and sound memories of thos e enduring violence. By amplifying these testimonies\, it seeks to rethink how genocide is heard\, remembered\, and theorised in the context of Pale stine.If you register in advance\, we’ll provide a baguette and somethin g to drink for lunch. Her work focuses on archives of music and pho tography\, exploring diasporic communities\, music collecting\, and cultur es of protest and resistance. She is a resident at Slack’s Radio\, where she hosts the monthly show \;Diasporic Connections. In summer 2025\, Ellie curated the exhibition and public programme \;Resounding Diaspor ic Sonic Worlds \;at The Newbridge Project in Newcastle\, which also f orms the basis of her current research as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the Department of English Studies at Durham University.
