Writing and study sessions with the Academic Support Centre

The Academic Support Centre arranges writing and study sessions for the University’s students each semester. You can read more about how a session works, planned dates and how to register below.

Writing and study sessions, spring semester 2024

You should bring any relevant, study-related material along to the writing and study session. You might, for instance, bring a written assignment or thesis draft that you are currently working on (or should be working on) or texts to read in preparation for your next lecture or exam. Our language and study consultants are also available to offer their advice on how to plan your study time and put that plan into practice.

As the purpose of a study session is to create a sense of community, it is important that you participate for the entire session (a full or a half-day). We offer fika (coffee, tea and snacks) during the break, which is a great opportunity to share your experiences with fellow students and form new study contacts. You will need to organise your own lunch for the day.

Current dates

Our study and writing sessions take place each Tuesday for the spring semester. Full-day sessions are 9–16, with a lunch break from 12–13. If you only want to participate for a half-day, please choose either the 9–12 or the 13–16 slot. You are welcome to attend our sessions regardless of whether you study in Swedish or English.

Time: Tuesdays, 09:00–16:00 (find specific dates in the fold-out list below)
Place: Genetikhuset at Sölvegatan 29B, Lund
