Oskar Hansson studies chemical engineering and did his internship as a development engineer at Tetra Pak in Italy.
Why did you choose to do a traineeship?
I wanted to experience a new culture and, above all, a different work culture. The experiences I gained and the network of contacts I could build were exceptional.
What did you do during your traineeship?
I planned, carried out and evaluated chemical analyses that were relevant to the company. At the same time, I did my degree project, which was about chemical resistance of polymers.
Which tasks were the most interesting?
It was very interesting to try to work as a development engineer at a multinational company. It was especially interesting to analyse and discuss the results and propose changes based on these.
Do you think this traineeship affected your future career?
It was of great importance. I have already secured a job at Tetra Pak and the experience from my international internship definitely played a role in that.
Do you have any advice for future trainees?
Apply for the Erasmus traineeship scholarship! It could be a great opportunity to get financial assistance to make an internship abroad possible.
