Embedded Electronics Engineering student ambassador Roshan
Introducing Roshan Cherian John
Hi! My name is Roshan and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's Programme in Embedded Electronics Engineering. I am happy to answer questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, life in Lund and Sweden. Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships or residence permits.
My experience so far
The programme is very practical and provides hands-on training. It relies on the understanding of the central concepts, which might make it quite challenging if you don’t dedicate enough time to each course. I really enjoy all the project courses as they are quite interesting and they actually end up taking more time than the exam-oriented courses. We have the opportunity to use high-end and high-cost tools and software that are also used in the industry.
After graduation, I would like to work in Sweden for a few years and then maybe look for a PhD in Sweden. There are a number of companies in and around Lund that are looking for engineers graduating from this programme that one can look into.
It also feels really good to be part of one of the most student-friendly cities in the world. Lund is a small, bike-friendly student city. There are all a lot of events you can take part in. I will never forget the hikes I went on with my friends to explore nature at its best.
