Architecture student ambassador Nadja
Introducing Nadja Jeppsson
Hi! My name is Nadja and I'm one of the student ambassadors for the Master's Programme in Architecture. I am happy to answer questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, life in Lund and Sweden. Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships or residence permits.
My experience so far
I think that my international Master’s programme lives up to its name. Each year has a balanced mix of Swedish and international students with diverse experiences and backgrounds. It is also great to be able to engage with many exchange students who participate in one or more terms. It has made my university experience a lot more interesting, educational and memorable. My expectations about the master’s programme have been met to a great extent. We are engaged in independent work, both in terms of how students want to define their projects and delivery methods. This is a great thing because it allows students to learn from each other without a sense of comparison.
After having worked in London for several years, I would like to gain work experience in Sweden before setting up an independent company. I am curious to see what opportunities I might find abroad too. I am eager to put my Arabic language skills to the test and take advantage of strong market trends.
Life in Lund is rather quaint, active, local and friendly. Lund has a great student spirit, especially in the summer time. As an architect in the making, I really appreciate its traditional architecture, cosy streets and student-friendly activities. It is a great town to shape memories around and to feel at home in. What I will remember the most from my experience at Lund is how much influence I had to organise events and activities around my interests even if they might not have been on offer from the start. It has allowed me to continue with my hobbies and make new friends along the way.
