Architecture student ambassador Parto
Introducing Parto
Hi! My name is Parto and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's programme in Architecture. I am happy to answer questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, life in Lund and Sweden. Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships or residence permits.
My Master's adventure
My journey to Lund started during the last year of my Bachelor’s studies, when I was thinking about doing my postgraduate studies in an international environment, at a top-ranked university.
I looked at universities all around the world to find a programme that fits well with my interests and background. I chose Lund over my other options because of its diverse international environment, the rich programme description, and prospective opportunities in the region.
A combination of practice, research and meeting new challenges is what I am aiming to achieve during my studies at Lund! Trips and teamwork have been the main highlights in my experience of the programme, where we, coming from different backgrounds, collaborated on each project. To me, being a student is not only about following a path to pursue an academic degree, but it is also about sharing experiences and learning from each other in a team.
Lund was such a welcoming place – I could have never imagined that from a distance! The first person I met on students’ Arrival Day was a Swedish photographer who greeted me with two words in my mother tongue!
All the challenging moments on the path helped me to think outside the box and to develop not only my skills but also to improve my surrounding study environment. This is a value that I would have never understood without coming to Lund!
After three semesters at LTH, I am still grateful that I decided to come here. Aside from the grey skies, I participated in different activities, have made amazing friends from all over the world, and feel that I am where I need to be.
