Hi! My name is Celia and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's Programme in Water Resources Engineering. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, life in Lund and Sweden. Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships, or residence permits.
My experience so far
I decided to come to Lund because this Master’s programme offers exactly what I was looking for: a complete and multidisciplinary water education from the engineering perspective. I had also heard very good comments about Lund University and the education in Sweden, so Lund became my first choice.
Since I arrived, I have enjoyed my programme for the most part. Teachers are excellent, and courses very well structured and relevant. There is lots of group works where I have been able to develop other skills and get to know my colleagues.
I have also enjoyed my life in Lund, since it is a calm city that still offers a wide variety of activities. Despite any difficulties that you may have in the beginning, it is easy to find your place in Lund.
My suggestion to someone coming to Lund for the first time is to not be afraid of going to places on your own. There are many interesting things going on in Lund; you can go to free events and activities almost every afternoon and evening. Do not stay at home only because you do not yet have anyone to go with, feel free and discover things on your own!
