What Prince says about the Master's in Public Health
Introducing Prince
Hi! My name is Prince, and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's programme in Public Health. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, and life in Lund and Sweden via the Unibuddy Platform, where you can chat with me (see below). Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships, or residence permits.
About the programme
"I had a lot of expectations coming from Ghana, having already spent a few months studying abroad in 2014 after my Diploma in Registered General Nursing. After my Bachelor’s in nursing in Ghana and working for a couple of years as a Nurse/Nurse Educator (Senior Health Tutor), I decided to look for an institution with state-of-the-art research resources to enable me to pursue my dream of research in Public Health. Lund University was the perfect choice for me as it offers research-intensive courses with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and has an international appeal.
The Master’s programme in Public Health (MPH) has an excellent international work prospect. It offers pedagogical approaches such as team-based learning and group work that provides the avenue to interact more with international students with diverse cultural, professional, and educational background (coupled with their unique perspectives and experiences) – which made the programme exceed all my expectations so far. This Master's programme, and Lund University at large, offer outstanding student support to help students achieve their targets and the programme goals. I have naturally fallen in love with Lund University – I am so honoured and humbled to be here, it's a dream.
Studying in Malmö offers an opportunity to experience the Swedish work (study)-life culture, I have plenty of time to explore and play my favourite game of football in Lund and visit my family in Denmark. Malmö is just about 35 minutes from Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, by train, exploring the rest of Europe is that close.
