Description

Head of unit is Associate Professor Simon Timpka, MD, PhD. The overarching aim of our work in the Perinatal and Cardiovascular Epidemiology (PACE) unit is to improve the health of women and their children across the life-span through high-quality research. Whilst trying to doing so, we also strive to provide excellent training to students and junior colleagues through supervision, mentoring, and general demystification of academia. Our expertise is epidemiology, clinical women’s health, statistics, and methodology in clinical research. Our research and interests are cross-disciplinary, spanning Obstetrics & Gynecology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, and life-course epidemiology. PACE is mainly supported through grants from the Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation, The Swedish Society of Medicine, and the Jeansson Foundations.
