Author
Summary, in English
China and the European Union have today a central position in the world. Their ambition is to create a wider togetherness and broader links between one and other. There are no doubts that the bilateral relation has a major significance economically, strategically and politically.
But there are many obstacles of major importance for the partnership to agree on a deeper level of engagement. In this thesis the aims is to focus on the opinion of three voices by three European politicians and analyse their view of EU’s political partnership to China. In the analysis the focus will be on searching for components of “soft power”. A concept in political science which says that power is achieved through diplomacy and good political relations. The purpose is to find out what these three European politicians ambitions are for the future of the strategic partnership EU - China. To find out where there are components of soft power and what their criticism is against China’s foreign policies.
