Why did you choose Lund University?

I am looking much forward to become part of a place which for centuries has been an intellectual pioneer in Scandinavia and a strong tradition for translating research into societal change.

Can you briefly describe your current research?

Grounded within information systems research, I examine the social impact and ethical concerns emerging as our work life become increasingly datafied. In particular, I am interested in exploring counter narratives to current framings of workplace datafication, expanding our view from data as a managerial privilege to a matter of democracy.

What will be your main research focus during your time at Lund University?

My current research plans is based on the simple, yet provocative idea: namely that we can reimagine data and algorithms at work as a political tool and means for labour organising. This line of research raises fundamental questions about worker co-determination and ownership over data, including how AI reshape work and labour relations.
