Application dates

During the course, you will learn to play both Swedish folk music and folk music from other parts of the world by ear, together with an ensemble. You need to be independent on your instrument, but do not need to have played folk and world music before. 

The course is a combination of online preparation and three half-day meetings per term. These are on weekends. The language of instruction is English.

Prerequisites

Specific entry requirements: admission to the Music Teacher’s Training Programme /First-Cycle Performance Programme in Music or 30 higher education credits in Music.

Selection criteria

Seats are allocated according to the following: The general average (GPA) of your higher secondary school leaving certificate: 34 %, The Swedish national university aptitude test: 34 %, number of previous ECTS at the application deadline (up to 165): 32 %.
