This course helps you understand how to define, plan and carry out an academic project, such as a master’s thesis or another type of academic report. You learn the core skills needed to organise a project at university level, from finding reliable academic sources to selecting suitable scientific methods.
The course combines theory with practical exercises and is designed to support you while your own project is developing. You are introduced to how academic literature is searched and used, how scientific theories guide research, and how different research methods can be applied within your own subject area. You also explore the basics of argumentation, learning how arguments are structured and how they can be used effectively in academic writing.
Entry requirements
Entry to the course requires general entry requirements, English B/6 and at least 180 credits.

Seats are allocated according to: ECTS (HPAV): 100 %.
Tuition fees for non-EU/EEA citizens
Citizens of countries outside:
- The European Union (EU)

are required to pay tuition fees. You pay an instalment of the tuition fee in advance of each
semester.
