A technical background is not required since the programme in information systems is an interdisciplinary programme within social science with focus on the business perspective in relation to IT.
No, completion of all courses in the programme is required for the degree.
We recommend you to bring your own device, a Mac or a PC, with specifications that suit your study needs.
If necessary, you will be provided with software licenses and a remote virtualized environment.
There are several rooms with desks where you can connect your computer to a monitor and keyboard (with USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports).
Some courses will involve hands-on assignments or project work using tools during labs.
The programme does not focus on programming but it is required that you have basic knowledge of coding as this is applied to certain content in the courses.
The programme is full-time studies on campus with no possibility of part-time or remote studies. The programme includes a lot of group work and seminars which require the student to be active on campus.
While the programme does not include formal internships or integrated work placements with partner companies, we actively create opportunities for students to connect with working life in other meaningful ways. Throughout the programme, we invite guest lecturers from industry and public sector organisations to share insights directly linked to the course content. We also organise visits from alumni, giving students a chance to hear about different career paths and how they’ve applied their education in practice. In addition, several workshops and seminars are designed to help students understand how academic knowledge translates into real-world professional settings.
The programme does not include internships or exchange studies, but students can participate in the International Master Class after graduation. It is a highly competitive opportunity to go on an exchange semester after finishing your Master’s studies at LUSEM.
