The course helps you understand the complex relationship between business and society, with a particular focus on how – and to what extent – business organisations can contribute to sustainability. You will explore fundamental questions such as:
- What is the responsibility of business?
- What is sustainability?
- How can sustainability be pursued?
These questions will be investigated with a focus on ethical dilemmas associated with international business activities.
Throughout the course, you will work with a variety of theoretical perspectives, including ethical frameworks and perspectives on corporate social responsibility. You will apply these theories to real life examples, for instance by analysing a company’s sustainability report.
