Management control focuses on how organisations influence their employees and managers to implement strategic goals. The course introduces you to central concepts such as cost-volume-profit analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, measuring performance with financial and nonfinancial indicators and capital investments. You will also explore how to manage risks and work with strategic management control.
The course consists of four parts:
- introduction to cost concepts, cost accounting and the role of controllers
- planning and budgetary control systems
- capital investments, risk management and strategic management accounting
- managing working capital
