This course introduces you to key challenges in the cultural and creative industries, including the role of non-governmental organisations. You will learn about important concepts related to how culture is produced, consumed and managed – both historically and today.
In the first part of the course, you explore key concepts and practices in the field. In the second part, you work in pairs on a relevant topic that connects theory with real-world challenges.
You take the course together with students from the master’s programme in Service Management, specialising in Culture and Creativity Management.

Bachelor's degree comprising at least 180 credits (equivalent to a Swedish bachelor's degree), containing at least 90 credits in social sciences, business administration or the field of cultural sciences. Oral and written proficiency in English corresponding to English 6/B from Swedish upper secondary school is a requirement. International qualifications will be assessed in accordance with national guidelines.
