In this course you will explore how international business has developed over time and how it operates in today’s global economy. You will learn how global conditions influence companies’ strategies, structures and daily operations.
Through lectures and seminars, you will practice analysing the significance of a range of relevant global conditions for international business.
The course gives you a broad introduction to international business. You will learn about:
- the historical development of globalisation
- how globalisation affects nations, cultures and ethics
- global trade and finance
- firm strategy and structure
- firm functions, such as value-chains, production, outsourcing, marketing, research and development (R&D) and human resource management (HRM)
