Programme structure
Outline
The full programme comprises two years of study, but if you choose, you can take just one year. In both cases, the final examination consists of writing a Master’s thesis in Literature – Culture – Media.
Compulsory courses for a Master’s (60 credits) degree:
- LIVR50 LCM: An Introduction (15 ECTS) or LIVR51 LCM: Literary Theory and Method (15 ECTS)
- 30 ECTS of subject-specific courses of which one must be LIVR52 LCM: 20th Century Literature of Latin America, (15 ECTS) or LIVR55 LCM: Social Critique and Aesthetics in the Contemporary Spanish Novel, (15 ECTS)
- Master’s (60 credits) Thesis (15 ECTS).

- LIVR50 LCM: An Introduction (15 ECTS)
- LIVR51 LCM: Literary Theory and Method (15 ECTS)
- 30 ECTS of subject-specific courses of which one must be LIVR52 LCM: 20th Century Literature of Latin America, (15 ECTS) or LIVR55 LCM: Social Critique and Aesthetics in the Contemporary Spanish Novel, (15 ECTS)
- Master’s Degree Thesis (30 ECTS)
- Electives (30 ECTS).
