Application dates

During the internship, you will work on tasks related to your physics education and gain experience of how your knowledge is used in practice. You will practise collaborating with colleagues, taking responsibility for your work and communicating your results, both in writing and orally.

The internship can take place at the university or at an external organisation and will give you an insight into how physics is used in professional life.

The course helps you develop your ability to reflect on your role in a team, evaluate your performance and identify what you need to grow professionally. It is suitable for those who want to prepare for their thesis or future job in the field of physics.

You can choose the pace at which you want to complete the course; many students choose to spread the work over the entire semester. You plan your internship in consultation with a supervisor at your workplace and a teacher at the Department of Physics. You write a planning document with goals and a schedule, and report regularly on how the work is progressing.

The course concludes with a written summary and an oral seminar where you present what you have done and learned.

Entry requirements

Admission to the course requires at least 120 credits in the main field of study physics, of which at least 30 credits at the second-cycle level.

Seats are allocated according to: ECTS (HPAV): 100 %.
