The course provides both practical and theoretical knowledge in electronics, focusing on signal processing, data acquisition, and experimental control. We will start from voltage dividers and work our way to digital circuits.

You will learn to build, analyse, and debug analogue and digital circuits on breadboards, reading circuit diagrams, interpreting datasheets, and communicating effectively with electronics engineers. You will also design your own circuits to test devices or solve problems.

The course is ideal for students who want hands-on experience building their own solutions, whether in academic projects or as a hobby. By the end of the course, students will be familiar with essential electrical components and the basics of integrated circuits, and gain a deep understanding of how experiments work – from measurement to analysis – enabling them to contribute to technical innovation in research environments.

Scheduled learning time includes classroom sessions, workshops, open lab time, and a project on everyday electronics. You will build circuits, test ideas, make mistakes, and learn through reflection and iteration, with regular feedback from the teaching team.

Assessment is continuous and based on written reflections, simulation tasks, lab reports, and project presentations. Active participation in all components is required, as the course emphases learning through hands-on work and collaboration.

When and how to apply

Prerequisites

Access to the course requires 75 credits physics and 45 credits mathematics, or a Bachelor’s degree in Physics or equivalent, as well as English 6/B.

Selection criteria

Seats are allocated according to: ECTS (HPAV): 100 %.
