In this course, you’ll write a thesis and dive deep into a problem that truly interests you.You choose the topic, explore it in detail, and develop your own insights. It’s your chance to apply what you’ve learned and show your ability to work independently on a real research question. 

You’ll write your thesis on your own or with a fellow student. A supervisor will support you throughout the process. In addition to writing your thesis, you’ll:

  • present your work at a seminar,
  • take part in discussions on other students’ theses, and
  • act as an opponent and give feedback on another thesis.

If you’ve completed all the required courses, you can now apply for a Master’s degree in Statistics (120 credits).

90 ECTS credits of first-cycle courses and STAN40 Statistics: Thesis, 15 ECTS, or the equivalent.
