The assignment means that you digitally share clear notes after each lecture and seminar with one or more students who have been granted learning support. You are not expected to do any additional work on the notes, so we expect you to will share the notes within 24 hours. 

The way you share your notes depends on which faculty/campus you are studying at:

• If you study at Campus Helsingborg or the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts, you need to send notes via email.
• If you study at one of the other faculties, you need to share your notes via the Student Portal.

If you are given an assignment late in a course, you also share your notes from the earlier lectures and seminars on that course.

When taking on an assignment as a note-taker, it is an advantage if you:

• are a structured person.
• prepare yourself ahead of lectures by going through the relevant reading list. 

We expect notes to be clear in terms of language and structure, and for them to add something beyond the written material that the lecturer supplies. Beyond that, we understand that different people have different styles of note-taking, which is perfectly okay. 

We prefer to see computer-written notes, since many students use speech-synthesis programmes for reading.

If, for some reason, you cannot write on a computer (for example in maths, physics and chemistry courses), you can instead photograph your handwritten notes and upload them to the Student Portal. A tip is to use any free app to scan the notes. This will improve the quality of the images.

For tax reasons, you need to have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) in order to take up an assignment as a note-taker.

Fees are calculated according to the number of credits that the assignment covers. The semester fee is SEK 3,200 before tax when the assignment has run full-time throughout the semester.

Fees before tax:

• 30 credits SEK 3,200
• 15 credits SEK 1,600
• 7.5 credits SEK 800

After a completed semester, the payment of fees occurs within three months, provided you have been given an assignment by Disability Support Services.

For the fee to be paid directly into your bank account, you need to register your account with Swedbank.

Remember that the assignment relates only to the current semester’s course(s). You will need to register again next semester in order to continue your assignment as a note-taker.

If you are interested in becoming a note-taker on one or more courses, log into the Student Portal via the link below. You then choose the courses you wish to provide notes on. Please note that you must register your interest in the Student Portal and that you cannot choose who to share your notes with.

Remember that this needs to be done every semester and it is possible to do so as soon as you are registered on the course in Ladok. 

The portal automatically offers the assignment to the first person who registered their interest. The offer will be sent to the email address you provided in Ladok. Reply to the offer promptly if you are interested in the assignment. If no reply is received, the offer passes to the next student.
