In addition to the scholarships that Lund University offers, there may be external scholarship and funding opportunities for you as an international student applying to Lund University. The list below includes some examples of scholarship and funding organisations around the world that may be able to help finance your studies. Google Europe Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

The Google Europe Scholarship for Students with Disabilities is open to students with a disability, mental health or long-term health condition who are enrolled in full-time studies at a university in Europe in the following fields: computer science, computer engineering, informatics or a closely related technical field.

Swedish Women's Education Association – SWEA – offers scholarships for students interested in learning about Swedish culture by pursuing studies in Sweden. There are 70 chapters of SWEA in 30 countries.

The Gen Foundation provides grants to postgraduate students from all backgrounds who study natural science, in particular food science/food technology.

Simeone & Miller LLP Good Lawyers/Good people Scholarship

Simeone & Miller LLP offers two scholarships per year for Law students who are currently enrolled or accepted as an undergraduate student.

Scholarships and funding open to students from specific countries

In the list below, you will find a selection of external funding organisations that accept applications from students from specific countries. Please note that Lund University does not have a formal agreement with these organisations and that you should reach out to the organiser directly in case you have any questions. 

AGBU International Scholarship

Students of Armenian descent can apply for the AGBU Scholarships such as the International Scholarship, the Performing Arts Fellowship or the Religious studies Fellowship. The scholarship application usually opens in late January.

The General Sir John Monash Foundation offers scholarships for Australian citizens graduating from Australian universities for postgraduate studies at top universities abroad.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Scholarship Programme

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Scholarship Programme provides full funding for Azerbaijani citizens interested in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry and pursuing undergraduate or master’s programs in economics, engineering, human resources management, information technology, or petroleum engineering.

Canada student aid

Lund University is registered for Canadian student aid programmes and is recognised by the Canadian tax authorities. Therefore, we accept students using Canadian student aid schemes.

The Law Foundation of British Columbia

The Law Foundation of British Columbia provides up to six graduate fellowships to students pursuing full-time graduate studies in law or a law-related area. Residents of British Columbia, graduates of a British Columbia law school and members of the British Columbia Bar are eligible to apply.

The Qalaa Holdings Scholarship Foundation grants academic scholarships for talented and promising young Egyptian men and women to pursue master's degrees abroad in all fields of study.

SENESCYT

Secretaría de Educación Superior, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación administer two types of SENESCYT scholarships for students from Ecuador who wish to study abroad: One for students who have been admitted to studies at approved top universities, including Lund University (applications are accepted all year round). The other scholarships are offered to students applying for studies in science, engineering, medicine and information and communication science.

The education initiatives of the Tata Trusts include the J. N. Tata Endowment for higher education studies abroad in all disciplines and subjects, and the Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust Scholarship, supporting the overseas studies of women graduates active in social work, social science, public health, and welfare of women and children.

Bolashak Scholarships for students from Kazakhstan

The Bolashak scholarship programme enables high-achieving students from Kazakhstan to study at top universities around the world. It is offered by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and prioritises studies in the areas of Engineering, Science, Medicine, Law and Business.

Hong Leong Foundation Master’s Scholarship

The Hong Leong Foundation offers scholarships to Malaysian citizens under 35 years old to study for an approved Master's degree outside of Malaysia. The scholarship aims to provide opportunities for further study to students who have demonstrated both academic excellence and the potential to become leaders, decision-makers, and entrepreneurs. Successful applicants will receive tuition coverage and a living allowance of up to RM 250,000 for the duration of the study.

The Higher Education Institute of Qatar administers governmental scholarship programmes such as the "Tamim bin Hamad" scholarship and the "Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani" scholarship for studies at some of the best universities in the world. The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students from Singapore studying Science, Technology, Research or Innovation at a top global university.

FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship

The FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship is available to a South African citizen for postgraduate study in any discipline at an internationally recognised university outside of South Africa.

Office of the Civil Service Commission

The Office of the Civil Service Commission offers scholarships to Thai students or civil servants to undertake studies in fields that prepare them for work in the public sector.

Regeneration Center of Thailand

The Regeneration Center of Thailand offers a scholarship to the winner of an essay contest. Students of ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) descent are eligible to apply. The ASEAN member states include: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme

The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme aims to increase Turkey–EU relations and offers scholarships for university studies for periods of a minimum of 3 (three), a maximum of 12 (twelve) months (academic studies longer than 12 months will not be supported even if the scholars are willing to fund the remaining period). Turkish nationals (and nationals of EU Member Countries or IPA Beneficiary Countries) who are attached to a university or organisation in Turkey are eligible to apply.

The United Arab Emirate Ministry of Higher Education offer scholarships for studies at recognised universities abroad, including Lund University.

The Leverhulme Trust offers  ‘study abroad studentships’ of £21000 annual maintenance allowance, which are open to those who already hold an Undergraduate degree and who have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Developed to encourage young people to study abroad as part of their tertiary studies in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages, the Global Study awards offers a prize of  £10000. Note there are some conditions such as holding an ISIC card.

The Jessie Lokrantz scholarship is a travel scholarship managed by the American Women's Club Stockholm and is open to American citizens (male and female).

SWEA – Swedish Women's Education Association – offers scholarships for students interested in learning about Swedish culture by pursuing studies in Sweden.
