Summary, in English

In this chapter I will discuss the effects of agency loss, cultural trauma and healing, by focusing on the impact the boarding schools, the so called residential school, had and still has on contemporary Cana-dian Mi’kmaq Native identity, drawing on interviews from one of my fieldworks conducted on the island Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
