When the Financial Times presented its annual ranking of the world’s best Master’s degree programmes on Monday, Lund University’s School of Economics and Management featured among the 50 best.
“It is gratifying to be considered one of the world’s best economics programmes. But this is not the end of the line. We will continue to work hard to further improve the quality of our study programmes and our contacts with business and industry”, said Fredrik Andersson, dean of the School of Economics and Management at Lund University.
This is the first time the School of Economics and Management’s finance programme has been ranked in the Financial Times list of the “pre-experience Master’s programmes”. The only newcomer to be ranked higher is Singapore Management University.
Lund’s School of Economics and Management is the second higher education institution in Sweden to enter the prestigious top 50 after the Stockholm School of Economics, which is in 12th place on this year’s list.
During 2015, the QS World University Ranking by Subjects also placed several subjects at the School of Economics and Management among the top 100 in the world.
Last year, the School of Economics and Management at Lund University was re-accredited by EQUIS, which is an international seal of quality for the whole organisation.
