The latest rankings see Lund University strengthen its world top 100 university position by seven places from last year.
Within Sweden, Lund University is ranked in top place among the ten ranked Swedish universities. Of specific note, Lund University is also ranked number one for the criteria of academic reputation and percentage of international students.
The QS World University Rankings 2014/15 rank the world’s top 863 universities (out of over 3,000 considered). Rankings are based on the four key pillars of research, teaching, employability and internationalisation.
Earlier this year, Lund University was also recognised as world-leading among the following subject areas, as part of the QS University Subject Rankings 2014:
- Geography (20)
- Environmental Studies (43)
- Engineering (47)
- Physics (48)
With 17,000 internationally recognised universities in the world, this ranking once again reinforces Lund University’s place in the global top tier of higher education, among 0.4% of the world’s universities.
