The course is aimed at anyone who needs basic knowledge about data protection law (e.g., data scientists, information technology, cybersecurity or human resources professionals).
Course literature
The course literature listed may be updated up to eight weeks before the course begins.
Course literature HARF01 (PDF, New tab)Teaching is conducted online through digital lectures and teacher-led group exercises. During the exercises, you will work in a small group to present and discuss solutions to practical problems. You will be assessed through a written seated final examination. The final examination takes place in Lund. It is currently not possible to write the final exam in a place other than Lund.
After having completed the course, you will have acquired the knowledge and skills to solve basic data protection problems. The next step for anyone who wants to further specialise in data protection is to read our 15 credit courses Dataskyddsrätt I (HARA60) and Dataskyddsrätt II (HARA61), currently only available in Swedish.
