Supply Chain Management
There is rapid development in the field of supply chain management. Global challenges and new ways of conducting business require more qualified professionals. This programme focuses on service-oriented supply chains and the key factors that shape them.
Throughout the programme, you explore a range of perspectives from both academic research and industrial practice. You will examine and analyse real-world situations in supply chain management, strengthen your ability to develop supply chain strategies and design logistics processes with sustainability in mind. You will learn how transport systems are structured, organised, and managed, and how to use tools and methods to deal with challenges and opportunities related to digitalisation in companies and supply chains.
About Service Management
This programme gives you in-depth knowledge of the service sectors with an understanding of the specific organisational and managerial needs of service activities.
You will develop the skills to create, manage, and organise innovative business ideas, services, ventures, and organisations. You will also explore the intricate connections between organisation and leadership in a service context. During the programme you will learn of organisational and management theories, equipping you with the expertise needed to excel in the field.
A social science programme
This is a social science programme with a strong link to research, which shapes the teaching approach. The focus on social science theory sets it apart from other management programmes.
From theory to applied knowledge
This programme integrates theoretical knowledge with practical insights. The courses combine theoretical lectures and research assignments with excursions and guest lectures from industry representatives.
The courses are designed to develop your critical thinking and analytical skills. This will enable you to make informed evaluations and propose solutions to industry challenges. This program will enable you to describe and challenge key theories, concepts, and perspectives, such as service logic, within service studies.
Examinations
You will be assessed in many different ways, for example by oral and written examinations. You will also make group presentations and written individual assignments.
Campus Helsingborg: a modern study environment close to the sea
Campus Helsingborg is located in central Helsingborg, just a few minutes from the train station and the sea. The campus area is located in a former factory building from 1891, which once belonged to Tretorn. The building has retained its industrial character, which has been integrated with modern premises adapted for lectures, group work, and a quiet study environment.
On campus, you will find a library, plenty of study spaces, and several places to have lunch or a coffee break. The building has several student kitchens where you can heat up your lunch box and eat together with others. The building also houses study and career guidance services and other student support functions.
Campus Helsingborg is part of Lund University but has its own campus life and its own student unions and associations. Different faculties and programmes come together under one roof here. You will have close contact with both teachers and fellow students, while also being close to city life in Helsingborg.
